Period

The first time, Terry and I came to Ball State U., we had to take a placement test for our English class. We were given the dictation from one of the instructor. At the end of the sentence, he said "period". I was confused, where I came from, we put "fullstop" at the end of the sentence. So I decided to put the word "period" at the end of the sentences. At the last minute, I changed all the "period" to the dots. I was saved. Then I found out that the word "period" is used for the word "menstrual" too. Strange!
Sorry for the babble, and I do not intent for the whole world to know that Ada just had her period for the first time after the accident, but I think it is a good new. I was excited, at the same time, I know that she was uncomfortable and cranky, just like normal.
We set her on the walker yesterday and she walked for one round. We will work on walking and standing today. She still wakes up in the middle of the night and threw all the pillows and blanket out of bed. Not sure she wants to play or what. After a while she went back to sleep till her nurse come at 10.
Here is the picture of Ada and Arthy. Arthy will graduate from Pike High school in a few day. He was on his way to prom last week.

Dear Ponsawan,
I think it's good news too that her reproductive organs are functioning again. Little by little, physically and mentally. I prayer that you two and the rest of your beautiful family are keeping well.

Hi Ponsawani,

I have never been excited about periods except twice when I was glad I was not pregnant in my 40s and when you shared the news that Ada had her first period!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great sign........Moving forward...Keep it going, Ada!

Handsome Arthy ready for his prom. Congratulations to Arthy and to Terry and you!

What a beautiful family you have. You are so lucky to have your three kids with you.

Love and hugs

Sorry I have been so out of touch but it is wonderful to hear the very funny "period" story and to see Arthy and Ada.

I agree with Ardis that this is a very funny story. Your sense of humor is outstanding! I am not sure that Ada will approve of this when she reads it in the near future. I am sure she will let us know loud and clear.

You have a very beautiful family. Raising three great kids is one super accomplishment that I will never have. I will wait for 3 grandchildren instead. (I asked Nathan for a dozen just to up my chance!) We will be so fortunate if God decides to bless us that way.

I am glad you smile more often.

Love,
Yui

My dear Ponsawan,

When I read this, I think of you.

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.

The heart of a woman is what
makes the world keep turning.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

With love

That is a HUGE accomplishment!!! Having your period is a sign of being healthy and when you don't have it, it means (unless you are old enough to have gone through menopause) that you are unhealthy in some way. So HOORAY for her period!!!! I'm really excited to read that!! :)
