Trust

Not sure if I ever described how we cut Ada's finger and toe nail, but it was not an easy task until now.
With her using the iPad, I had asked Karec to see if she can cut Ada's nail, just the index finger nail. Karec managed to do that, but just one. So I asked Stacy if she would be able to do so with the rest of the nails. Stacy closed the door behind her. It is her way to tell Ada that mom won't get involve. She did it. Hum... how about her toe nail? Stacy closed the door and she got it done.
The next day, I asked Stacy if she would shave Ada's arm pit. This is the ultimate test because she won't let anybody touch that area for a long time. Guess what? It's done.
I remember the old saying about Trust. It is something you earn. I think Stacy just earned it from Ada. At the same time, Ada had learned about Trust again.
And we shall live happily together again.

Dearest Ponsawan and Ada,

We talked about how the mother/daughter dynamic being complicate. So to me, "trust" is not the issue between you two.

I am glad to hear this great progress.

Cold weather can make Ada cranky? Heck, it makes everyone cranky!

Take good care and keep warm.

Talk to you again soon.

Love,
Yui

Hi Pons! I don't think it's about "trust" so much as it is that each of us relates differently to different people. And a Mom's relationship to her DD - can be very wonderful in some areas, and "not allowed" in other areas. That's how it is with my DD and I.

I keep praying for Ada and for you all the time. Sending love and hugs - Jackie

Hi Ponsawani and Ada,

Ponsawani, you are there and you know best. If you felt Stacy earned Ada's trust, good for Stacy. With you is a different thing.....you know...you are her mother so Ada can pick and choose what she wants mom or someone else to do...the important thing is to see Ada making decisions....Go for it Ada!

Ponsawani, you are the best! Love F & M

You always manage to figure out how to get things done...I do remember shaving her armpits in the nursing home while you were in Thailand but that was at a time when she was not as much the fighter as she can be today...lol
It was a privilege to help with Ada...but there is no one who can begin to understand her wants better than you.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
